Thanks, Justin!

Hi Justin,

First of all I want to thank you for your book.
I've learned a lot and today I had my first $240 bid on an auction 3 days before closing!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170350447236&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Maybe I can't follow your instructions strictly, but I really would like to add some value to the domains I buy before listing them. The first thing I've done is to add an Amazon store and Adsense. Not much, but it looks better than a parked domain page.

I got my first google search page top position (or second) for this exact keywords: disney shop online http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=disney+shop+online&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g3
This one I'm not selling for now because I'm trying to learn and experiment with google using different keywords.

I would like to sell your book in my store. Have you thought about how?
Thanks again, and good luck, buddy!

This is a copy of the msg I sent to Justin Dombek. I bought him a book about how to make $10000 a month selling domain names in eBay.
I can't say if following his steps will lead you to that goal because I don't do exactly what he says. I'm stubborn as a mule. I always sing "I did it myyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyy".
But who knows. Maybe this time...

Domain Trading For Dummies?

DigitalCamerasForDummies .com $3500 Valued Domain Name!
For Serious Domain Names Traders. Website included!

I'm confused. I know that a domain name's value is not objective when you bid for $0.99.
Buyers wait till the last seconds and generally you can find that the auction ends with a bid lower than the seller's domain and listing cost. Of course eBay wins.

Time left: 0h 4m 20s (Jun 28, 200905:03:38 PM PDT) and 0 bids!

Only 6 visits (and 4 are mine!!!) I just can't understand what's wrong with my logic.

Sorry ricardodelrosal, your item didn't sell.

Ok, lets go back to the lab, Pinky...

CyberGratis

I must say that this domain name business is an incredible source of pleasure for someone like me, an "idea addict". Oh, God! I did it again...

The last domain registered http://CyberGratis.com

It's not for sale (at least before someone begs to pay big bucks for my new toy!).
Here's is my blog for it: http://proyectocybergratis.blogspot.com/
I like to buy names and sell them with profit, but I'd rather do something more than just finding good opportunities like a miner who finds a gem in a cave. I'd like to add value.

In Argentina there are lots of places where you hire a computer for hours. The fares are between 0,40$ and 0,90$ per hour. But many people don't have other means of Internet access.
My idea is to offer FREE service for an hour if you click ads in a home page pointed at this domain. Of course this kind of ads should not be google's adsense, but local ads to shops near the place. Sounds interesting, don't you agree?

No backlinks yet...

Thought it was a piece of cake, but No Way José!
  • Your search - link:amazingdomaindeals.com - did not match any documents
I wasn't sure, but I thought that google indexed blogger addresses instantly.
I was wrong. You have to wait.
This weekend I'll list 10 domain names in eBay auction, but the rest will be here, waiting to St. Google Robot to have mercy!

Fwd: Email Posting Test

Many of these domain names were bought in lot. But the most amusing task I found till now is to search domains deleted in the last 24 hs. appraise them with the free tools I currently know and try to register them in goddady.
This post is not explicit. If you want to learn the details of how to do this there's lot of free information out there. I bought a book to one of eBay's store owners. It was published 49.90 but I got a better deal making a counteroffer. (ad: go to http://amazingdomaindeals/ and find the book's title!). One thing I learned from this book is how to register domains for $7.19 instead $9.90. With this simple knowledge I saved more than twice the book's cost my first week!!!
NB: I'm not selling this book for now. I'm just grateful to the author.

To eBay Or Not To eBay?

That is the question I would like to address in my first posts.
I'm starting an online business with my eBay store http://amazingdomaindeals.com/
Was that and ad? Of course! I'm not trying to fool you. My primary goal is to lead you to click my links and get some free traffic.

But I thought that if I shared my ups and downs as I develop my eBay business project from the start, many people could benefit from this blog saving many hours and $ by not doing what I did wrong. My cost would be zero so, why not?
On the other hand if you save time or earn money, would that hurt me? No! In fact you will start to trust me. And building confidence sooner or later would return to me as sales from happy customers.
Why eBay? Because I found that many people make a living working just a couple of hours a day trading stuff there. Domain name trading sounds good because you don't need a lot of money to get started and if you are lucky you can find valuable gems.
I'd like to point out these interesting facts about eBay trading:
  • You know your advertising costs. No surprises.
  • Transparency. You can check your sellers reputation and sales history.
  • Prompt payment using Paypal.
  • Nice tools. You can setup a store in hours. Reasonable costs.

I like domain trading. Despite of all the reasons I sell myself to look upon this activity as a relatively safe and self-sustaining business, I must admite it has its gambling side.
And that turns me on. I dream about winning the lottery since I was a child.

Maybe the possibility of buying a really great domain name for pennys and selling it later for millions is something desirable. Maybe not. We'll find out some day, hope soon!
